WHAT IS ATOMIC PROVISIONS?
Atomic Provisions is a Denver based restaurant group that owns, operates and develops unique restaurant concepts. Our 6 locations host 2-4 different brands: Atomic Cowboy, our full-service bar concept, Denver Biscuit Company, open for breakfast and lunch serving gourmet biscuit sandwiches and plates, Fat Sully's NY Style Pizza, which is open from lunch until close, and Frozen Gold, a gourmet soft serve ice cream shop in Colorado Springs and Kansas City. All of these brands come together under one roof!
WHICH BRAND WILL I WORK IN?
All of them! As a salaried leader at Atomic, we want you to take ownership of all elements of the business, which includes all the brands! Our goal is that all salaried leaders are fully trained and committed to working each brand as needed. Of course, there will be one that you might primarily “live” within, but the ability to step up and help where vital to the success of the operation.
DO YOU OFFER MEDICAL BENEFITS?
All Atomic leaders are offered medical benefits the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment. We offer medical, vision and dental benefits, or any combination of these as needed.
WHAT IS THE PAY FREQUENCY AT ATOMIC?
All staff are paid on a weekly basis, with payments being distributed each Friday afternoon.
WHAT IS YOUR PTO POLICY?
Atomic Provisions create a Personal Time Off (PTO) package with our team in mind. Our leaders will be granted 3 days of Paid Sick Leave (PSL) immediately upon hire. At 6 months, any unused PSL will roll over to PTO. So, if PSL is completely unused, that leaves you with 6 days of PTO after 6 months. At 1 year, you will be eligible for 15 days of PTO, plus an additional 3 days of PSL annually, for the first 5 years. After 5 years, PTO increases to 20 days annually and 3 days of PSL. PTO can be used for vacation, personal time, holidays and illness or
WHY ARE YOU HIRING?
Two compelling reasons: First and foremost, Atomic Provisions is preparing for accelerated growth and development of new locations and concepts. Second, we are an agile, aggressive group and take growing the careers of our management staff very seriously. We hold ourselves to a high standard of ongoing leadership development training and intend to over-staff our restaurants with managers to focus on ensuring our people's careers are indeed growing forward consistent with the growth of the company.
WHAT IS YOUR TRAINING PROGRAM?
Your MIT (Manger In Training) journey may cover all brands that fall under Atomic Provisions, LLC umbrella: Atomic Cowboy, Denver Biscuit Company, Fat Sully's Pizza, Frozen Gold and Lights Out.
Atomic Training Includes:
Tell, Show, Do, Review: Your training will go through 4 stages of learning. The goal is that you will have mastered skills to the point where you can teach them back to your trainer. We believe that "training is caring."
A hybrid learning model: We are in the process of transitioning our training platform to The ATOM (an electronic learning management platform). Therefore your training experience will be a hybrid of online learning through The ATOM, and more hands-on tools with your trainers.
Training Materials: You will be provided an MIT Schedule and a Training Binder.
During your training, you will most likely visit multiple locations to get a sense of the different scales of operation at our existing locations.
HOW DO YOU CARE FOR AND PROTECT YOUR TEAMS?
Most importantly, we listen to our people. We care about how you feel and what you think about our restaurant work environments. Each location is staffed with 6-10 managers and a generous number of team members, so you'll always have the support you need. Further, we train well, equip our restaurants with the needed tools and supplies to succeed and surround everyone with the very best people possible.
For those that want a career in restaurants, we grow our leadership talent from within whenever we can. Lastly, we keep it fun. We choose to not work with anyone who isn't supportive of their fellow team members and work to create a culture and environment that ensures staff walk into their shift with a smile on their face.
HOW DO YOU GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY?
Throughout Atomic Provisions' 17 year history, we've always had a very generous, warm heart. We've donated to the community with hundreds of gift cards, food donations and fundraising events.
In 2020, we formed the Atomic Provisions Foundation. So Far, our AP Foundation has 2 primary pillars:
1. The HOPE Fund - Helping Our People in Emergencies. Should any of our team members experience a qualifying emergency, we've got their back.
2. Good Neighbor Programs - Reinvesting in our communities primarily through Dine and Donate fundraising efforts. Our desire is to find nonprofits our team members are passionate about so we can partner with them to build awareness and raise donations through our dine and donate nights.
ARE YOU LTGBQIA+ FRIENDLY?
Yes! Atomic embraces all individuals of any gender identity and/or orientation and strives to foster a culture of acceptance and love across our teams. A high percentage of our staff identifies as LTGBQIA+, which we embrace! Know that when you are part of our family, you are safe and encouraged to be yourself.
On that same note, we never tolerate individuals who aren't accepting of others. This is vital to creating a great place to work for everyone.
ARE YOU FLEXIBLE WITH SCHEDULING HOURS?
Yes! We are constantly striving to balance the needs of our people with our business levels. We do our very best to accommodate all reasonable scheduling requests. Because our restaurants are incredibly popular, we open early and close late, there are requests we may not be able to honor. If there is a scheduling need we cannot meet, we'll commit to telling you immediately, which is usually a part of the interview process.
IS IT OK IF I HAVE TATTOOS?
Yes! In fact we prefer it! Here at Atomic, we want you to embrace your authentic self. To be unapologetically YOU! Why? Because that’s an important part of what makes you amazing, and that’s what stuck out to us most about you. We are a wildly oddball group. If different is your vibe, then you’ll fit right in.
HOW IS YOUR TEAM RETENTION?
The most important metric we track is the retention of our team members. Though the pandemic challenged all restaurant retention levels, we are very very proud of our people results and appreciate each and every one of our team members who have worked so hard to get us where we are today.
